This 8" scale Andorian action figure from Star Trek was produced by Mego as part of their 8-inch line of Star Trek action figures.
The Andorian figure was part of the second round of aliens produced for the Star Trek line. This second series of Aliens would also be the last new Star Trek figures produced by Mego.
Starting around 2008, Diamond Select Toys started producing an excellent STAR TREK ANDORIAN Repro Action Figure.
Taken from the original Star Trek television series episode "Journey to Babel," this 8-inch Mego action figure is another incredibly accurate representation of the actor and costume design.
Star Trek Mego Andorian Outfit and Sculpt
The Mego Andorian action figure comes on a Type 2 body cast in powder-blue. This same powder-blue Mego body is shared with the Mego Star Trek alien figure the Keeper. The Mego Star Trek Andorian figure has the usual 14-points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, groin, knees, and ankles).
Due to the Andorian's antennae on his head sculpt, this Mego figure required taller bubble packaging than other Star Trek action figures from the same line.
The 8-inch scale Mego Andorian figure is clad in a silver and white bodysuit made from a faux "chainmail" fabric. Worn over the bodysuit of the Andorian figure is a brown vinyl doublet with silver "diamonds".
The Mego Andorian wears a pair of removable brown pirate style boots made from the typical hard plastic used for Mego boots. This Star Trek alien figure also has removable matching brown gloves. The Andorian's outfit is finished off by a wide black plastic belt with a diamond-shape molded in the center.
