Back Story of the Sideshow Collectibles Vision Lawgiver Statue

On a planet where apes talk and walk like men, and men are primitive animals, an astronaut from Earth, Taylor, crash lands and is captured by Gorilla Soldiers. Sent on a rescue mission to retrieve his colleague, Astronaut Brent finds himself on the strange yet familiar planet surface amongst a society of intelligent apes and a race of powerful telepathic mutants who are on the verge of war. When General Ursus and Dr. Zaius lead the ape army to attack the underground mutant civilization, the mutants use their telepathic powers to project a vision of the revered Lawgiver Statue, bleeding and ablaze. The apes are temporarily routed, but they discover the truth of the mirage and continue their march to war!
