Back Story of the Sixth-Scale Astronaut Brent from Sideshow Collectibles
When ANSA astronaut Taylor failed to return from a mission to the distant Betelguese system, Astronaut Brent was sent on a rescue mission to bring him back home to Earth. Following the same trajectory, Brent found himself sucked into a Hasslein Curve, a bend in time that thrust his ship some 200o years into the future. Crashing on a mysterious planet, Brent was the only survivor of his crew, and he was left to find a way on his own. Soon Brent discovers that he had crash-landed on a world not unlike his own, but ruled by a society of intelligent apes! Brent must hide for his life, because these apes hunt man, kill for sport and imprison humans for slavery, target practice and medical experimentation. Finding Taylor's friends Zira, Cornelius and Nova, Brent escapes from the saber-rattling gorilla General Ursus and his Ape Army deep into the revered Forbidden Zone. There, he finds refuge in a cave that is soon revealed to be an abandoned New York subway! He has been on Earth all along, in a terrible post-apocalyptic future where Ape has risen to power after Man destroyed himself. Here in these caves, Brent finds a society of mutated humans who survived the holocaust, but live underground, worshiping an atomic bomb like a god and protecting themselves through powerful psychic abilities. He also finds Taylor, alive, but imprisoned. It is up to Brent to free Taylor and find a way back to Earth of the past, but they must first get past the Mutant Leader and General Ursus' Army in a climactic battle that will decide the fate of everyone.
