Back Story of the Sixth-Scale Caesar from Sideshow Collectibles
Unbeknownst to the time-traveling chimpanzee doctors, Cornelius and Zira, the birth of their son, Caesar, would herald the change of all things known to Man and Ape alike. The two parents, along with chimpanzee Dr. Milo, narrowly escaped the destruction of their world by salvaging the crashed spaceship of the astronaut Taylor. Using it to travel back through time, they landed on Earth in the twentieth century. Here, man was the master of the planet, and the Apes were wild beasts in jungles and forests, not the reasoning and speaking creatures like Cornelius and Zira. At first they were welcomed, but soon they were feared and hunted. Before their inevitable death, Cornelius and Zira were able to hide their child with Armando, the owner of a traveling circus. He raised Caesar, who retained his parents' intelligence and ability to speak, in secret. Using the circus to protect Caesar's identity, for years Armando traveled the land until 1991, when everything changed. Caesar learned first hand the cruelty and hatred of man in a new police state. Apes were little more than abused slaves and Man was their master. After taking everything from him – his freedom, his dignity, and his family – Caesar swore vengeance and through fire and battle he began the Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.
