Captain Action Wolverine Set
Round 2 and Marvel Comics present Captain Action as this Wolverine 1/6th scale uniform.
Wolverine appears in his classic Silver Age yellow and blue tiger-stripes outfit all ready to help the X-Men save the world from Magneto and his band of Evil Mutants.
UNIFORM
The one-piece yellow bodysuit has blue trunks stitched-in. Blue shoulder extensions are attached and fabricated from a semi-ridged, glossy, vinyl material.
The Captain Action Wolverine outfit has black tiger stripes printed on the front and back sides of the bodysuit along the ribcage and shoulders.
A low turtleneck style is used to cover the neck of the Captain action figure. A torso-length velcro latch is utilized along the backside of Wolverine's bodysuit to latch the removable outfit closed around a Captain Action figure.
This Captain Action Wolverine outfit includes one pair of blue gloves/hands with adamantium claws permanently extended. The gloves/hands are molded from a soft, blue plastic which is then painted a deeper blue. The claws and housings are painted silver.
The Captain Action Wolverine outfit also includes a removable red belt with an "X" emblem accented in black on the belt buckle, reminding everyone of Wolverine's X-Men ties.
The removable boots for this Captain Action outfit are molded from the same blue material as is used for the gloves. As with the outfit's gloves, Wolverine's boots are also painted a deeper blue and have black accents.
HEAD SCULPT/MASK
The mask for this Wolverine removable Captain Action figure is actually a pretty nice depiction of Logan. While an expression of rage would have been an obvious choice, nobody really wants a hero action figure that's permanently stuck in this emotion. Instead, Round 2 chose to go with an equally good Wolverine expression... a sneer.
Along with the cleft chin and mature features, this sneering Captain Action mask conveys a no-nonsense Wolverine -- a Wolverine who only a fool would mess with.
PACKAGING
Round 2 has switched their packaging from what we've seen in previous releases from this line. You'll no longer see the clear plastic boxes with printed cardboard inserts. Now, the packaging is primarily 4 color printed cardboard with a clear window on the front which allows you to view the product.
The overall package is about thirty percent smaller than the deluxe releases we saw for characters like Spider-Man, and identical in size to the classic cover outfits like the ones we saw for Thor and Captain America.
The artwork remains cool as ever featuring vintage Wolverine imagery from his early X-Men years. Highlighted on the front of the box in the lower left corner appears to be a John Byrne classic of this X-Man.
Wolverine and Iron Man are the last two outfits from this series which will allow you to complete your Hawkeye build-a-costume. The Wolverine Captain Action outfit includes Hawkeye's head.
