Captain Action Iron Man Outfit
Round 2 and Marvel Comics present this Captain Action 1/6th scale Iron Man uniform. Iron Man appears in his classic yellow and red armor ready to help the Avengers save the world.
Clad in his classic silver-age red and yellow armor, Iron Man comes complete with repulsor rays.
UNIFORM
The Iron-Man outfit utilizes a one-piece yellow bodysuit with red trunks and mid-section stitched-in. The trunks and neck have black horizontal lines printed across them as per the silver-age look of the character.
There are front and back armor pieces which attach over the torso. These pieces are primarily red with a yellow center on the chest-plate.
Captain Action Iron-Man comes with one set of red gloves. The hands and fingers are ribbed to mimic the same look of the trunks and neck. On the palm of each hand is a yellow repulsor ray.
Iron-Man comes with a pair of red boots which also have the same style of ribbing along the length of them.
Finally, Iron-Man's Captain Action outfit is completed with a detachable red belt.
HEAD SCULPT/MASK
The head sculpt/mask for the Iron-Man outfit is very simple and reminiscent of the Mego Iron-Man from the 1970s (sans the Mego nose of course). This look gives meaning to the nickname Old Shellhead.
There are no actual cut-outs for the eyes and mouth. Instead, those areas are slightly recessed on the mask material and painted black to create the same illusion.
PACKAGING
The packing for this release from Round 2 and Captain Action has been updated from previous outfits in this line. No longer is the package made primarily of clear plastic with cardboard inserts. Instead, four color printed cardboard is now the main material. A clear display window is utilized across most of the front panel and part of the top to display the outfit.
As with all of the other outfits in this line from Round 2, the artwork utilizes awesome vintage imagery from the silver age of Marvel Comics.
Iron-Man and Wolverine are the last two outfits from this series which will allow you to complete your Hawkeye build-a-costume. The Captain Action Iron-Man outfit includes Hawkeye's arm and wristbands. Along with his head from the Wolverine outfit, this completes the Hawkeye build-a-costume.
