ERTL presents these 2-inch die-cast metal DC Comics Super-Heroes figures. The term "die-cast" is thrown around these days but it used to have a much stronger assocation to the finished product actually being made from metal. In fact, these ERTL figures are truly cast in metal as-is evident from the heavy weight of each package.
The figures are fully painted to the likeness of the characters as they appear in DC Comics. These die-cast metal figures would make incredible game pieces typical of the scale you see in Monopoly.
There are a total of ten different figures in this series which include eight different DC Comics characters. These include Batman, Superman, Robin, Green Lantern, Supergirl, Shazam!, Joker, and The Penguin.
Each figure comes mounted on a 4-color printed cardboard backer with a plastic blister pack over the figure. The second side of the packaging is printed in black & white and displays the UPC, proof of purchase, and a checklist of all ten DC Comics Super Heroes figures.
Each figure includes a famous DC comic book cover presented as a collectible 4-color card.
