From the short-lived Planet of the Apes television series comes this Mego custom Alan Verdon action figure.
The human astronaut, Verdon is featured as he appears when he first arrives on the apes planet in his white astronaut suit.
The one-piece white jumpsuit has become associated with the Forbidden Zone since the original Planet of the Apes movies where the three astronauts make their way through the Forbidden Zone clad in these outfits. Later, when they reach a watering hole and strip down, their clothes are stolen from them.
On the TV series Verdon and his partner Peter Burke needed to abandon their "outlandish" astronauts outfits for something more befitting a human of that era.
