Marvel SDCC Exclusive SPIDER-WOMAN BISHOUJO Statue from Kotobukiya: VIDEOS

At San Diego Comic-Con 2014, Kotobukiya released a Spider Woman Bishojo statue -- a run limited to only 800 pieces worldwide. Spider Woman first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #32, titled Dark Destiny, released in 1977. While there have been various characters in the Marvel universe to use the name Spider Woman over the years, this statue is based on the first incarnation of the character, whose real name was Jessica Drew. This piece is based on an original illustration by the Japanese artist and game designer, Shunya Yamashita -- and for this stunning limited edition, her Red, Yellow, and Black costume paint was upgraded to a metallic finish. Like other statues in their Bishojo series, Spider Woman is 1/7 Scale, and shown here in a crouching action pose. She attaches to a black base decorated by a white spider web design -- and the package includes two face options, masked and unmasked. The unused faceplate can be conveniently stored in the underside of the base. This statue exemplifies all the craftsmanship and attention to detail that collectors can expect from Kotobukiya.
