Marvel Comics Signature Series Action Figures from Hasbro
The Hasbro Marvel Comics Signature Series fully poseable action figures was a short-lived line of Mego-like 9-10" scale figures produced by Hasbro in 2006. The line featured popular Marvel Comics characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Fantastic Four, Captain America, Doctor Octopus, The Green Goblin, and Daredevil.
These action figures retailed for around $21-27. Once the series was cancelled, you were able to find some of the characters at stores like Five Below for an incredibly low $5.
Due to the level of detail that went into these action figures and the relatively low price point of $20. AFK can only assume that this retail price left very little margin for profit versus the much more popular, all plastic Legends line of figures, for instance.
For adults who remember playing with megos when you were a child, this size difference makes the Famous Covers and Signature Series lines feel more familiar in your adult-sized hands.
