Taking a lead from the vintage 1970s Mego action figures, this line will feature an 8" repro of the Mego Conan The Barbarian. In addition to Conan, the line will also include an 8" Solomon Kane, and an 8" Kull The Conqueror action figure. This marks the first time Kull and Kane will be produced in this format.
In the 1970s, when Mego first produced an 8" Conan action figure, the character was being licensed by Marvel Comics. Although, Marvel no longer holds the rights to publish Conan or his associated characters, they should be given full credit for helping to boost the popularity of these characters through comics and magazins they produced for over two decades.
The popularity of the Marvel comics & magazines as well as the 8" Mego action figure from the 1970s and 80s led to the big screen adaptation of Conan starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
