Gentle Giant continues on with their exciting line of vintage sixth-scale Star Wars action figure reproductions with R2-D2 from the animated Droids - the Adventures of C-3PO and R2-D2. In 1985, everyone's favorite protocol droid and astromech droid starred in their own animated TV series. Star Wars: Droids, featured C-3PO and R2-D2 on their early adventures that took place before Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. To commerate the 30th Anniversary of the Star Wars Droids Animated Series, Gentle Giant Ltd. announced the Star Wars Celebration VII Exclusive Droids C-3PO Kenner Inspired Jumbo Figure! This figure was digitally scanned from a mint 3.75" Kenner original and reproduced in a twelve-inch scale while maintaining all of the figures details. Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this C3PO figure features the same original articulation. The Star Wars: Droids C3PO figure also features a jumbo replica of the coin that came with the original figure. To further capture the vintage feel of the Kenner originals, Gentla Giant packaged this figure with a Star Wars Droids inspired backer card featuring original artwork and photos. Designed with the collector in mind, this R2D2 action figure comes in a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition figure.
