Moon Knight is one of the rarer Moon Knight figures from Diamond Select Toys. While most figures in this line run about $25, Moon Knight can cost more than $100.

Moon Knight signified a spark of genuine inventiveness. Moribund and mysterious, he initially had an ambiguous allegiance. He debuted as an antagonist to Werewolf By Night, and was developed as a fringe character for a while. He did his stint as an add-on to that Hulk comic magazine, and since the magazine sometimes portrayed Hulk in a darker, more Frankenstein light, the Moon Knight fit in perfectly, usually confronting morbid and off-kilter villains, like the time he fought a crazed rapier master with the true to life condition of lycanthrope.

Eventually Moon Knight won his own title, and more or less his adventures stayed dark. He was forced to cultivate other identities even aside from Mark Spector and the Moon Knight, compromising his psychological balance in the process. As a warrior, Moon Knight mastered multiple fighting styles as well as virtually any type of melee weapon. Eventually he inherited an array of crescent blade weapons, playing more towards his mystic Egyptian background.

This marks another elaborate contribution to the Marvel Select line, a dark-shaded Moon Knight with a featureless hood-blackened mask. Standing behind him is the crumbling statue of deathless Khonshu, serving as the Moon Knight’s supernatural conduit.
