If you're a Spider-Man fan, this is an incredible puzzle. The illustration is a no-holds barred attempt to give the fans exactly what they want. Too many puzzles from this era depict the super-hero fighting some generic villain or saving pedestrians (BORING!). Not this time... you get not one, but nearly one dozen major Spider-Man villains in this puzzle. They include Doc Ock, The Lizard, Sandman, Molten Man, Man-Wolf, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, The Vulture, Morbius, The Beetle, and -- of course -- The Green Goblin. Obviously there's no way for Spider-Man to win this battle. Regardless, it's a great image.

I've never seen this illustration used anywhere else, but it certainly looks like it could be the cover of a Spider-Man anniversary issue or maybe one of the over-sized Treasury books. In any case, this is the epitome of Spider-Man comic book artwork from that era.

The puzzle pieces are medium to large and the color is bright & vibrant. The only complaint I have is that it would have been nice if the pieces were a little bit thicker to bring up the overall quality.

It's important to note that this is a UK import. I'm not sure why Marvel seemed to be giving all of the best puzzle product at the time to England instead of offering it right here at home.
