Together, Doctor Egon Spengler and Doctor Ray Stantz produced the Ghostbusters’ equipment. However, Just before the team's very first assignment, Egon warns Ray and Peter Venkman to avoid crossing their proton streams. Later on, near the end of the movie and during the Ghostbusters’ epic battle against The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Egon revokes his warning in hopes of successfully destroying the portal of Gozer.
